Pop up Christmas card – An angel

Spread the love

This card always gives me warm and pleasant feelings and I am glad to take a picture of it at the beautiful background on a beautiful summer day. Initially only candles were planned – as a single artifact which was cut out of colored paper. But then a fantasy began to spin and candles became the background for the angel’s figure.

I put template of the angel (with no candles) on the white paper, cut out the inner holes, then pasted everything on foil (with paper base) and cut out the basic outline. Candles are glued to the base on back side with thin strips of paper (as here). This construction is very stable. Just a little angel is glued with a strip of paper, too, you can use stars (as here). I photographed in the yard, there was a small breeze and the angel blew off, so it's better to fix it at the front with the same stars (I had to do it later).

The template for cutting this angel is in the zip file.
